kron 4 news at 11:00 starts now. crews working around the clock. the destructive wildfire near yosemite exploded over night. tonight the flames continue to spread. good evening, i am pam moore, governor brown declared a state of emergency around the burned zone today. that freeze up money and resources to help fight the massive blaze. tonight the rim fire is still burning out of control. 2500 structures are a threat, the fire has now

burned more than 63, 000 acre and it is only 1% contained and that's noun from 5% containment at this time last night. highway 120 remains closed. scott reports from near the fire line. >> reporter: well, this fire won't quit and quite the opposite out here, it continues to get stronger. i want to start with this, i came across this as i was driving down 120 that's closed off right now. it is about 8 miles outside the entrance of yosemite, this is a truck that caught on fire. unfortunately, it went up in smoke of the truck. nobody was hurt when the truc on fired. the flames have torched over 54000 acres and firefighters say

in battle san diego mayor bob kept a low profile on thursday that he will resign as part of the sexual settlement negotiated by his lawyer and the city officials. attorneys are not commenting on whether the settlement will include his resignation. on friday the councils is expected to vote on whether or not to accept the terms of settlement. they're now connected for life thanks to a life or death phone call.

bay bridge is closed over the labor weekend. here are the 14 stations which include downtown berkeley, concord and walnut creek and mechanic arthur and the san francisco airport. you should know that from one through four on tuesday morning september 3rd, trains will stop for maintenance. ac transits have cancelled all bus. after that, transit busses will be rerouted to one of four bart stations from service to and from san francisco. the four bart stations are west oakland,

mechanic arthur, coliseum and north berkeley. snf francisco's bay valleys will have accomodations to accommodate extra riders. ferries will depart every 45 minutes during peek community hours. kron 4 news today some temporary structures being prepped on the bike and pedestrian path for the new bay bridge span. they'll put in to place of the closure of the bay bridge. and for the first time allowing bikers and walkers to get on the bridge from the opening side. people will get in about 2/3rd of the way across. the path is expected to be fully completed late 2013 and early 2014 when it will be connected to

a few low 80s in the inland valleys but as we head into tomorrow, we'll see more 80 degrees readings and widespread low cloud covers to start the day. but, it will be short lived and more dense fog for the weekend meaning cooler conditions will return. the area of low pressures have been affecting us moving well to the north. we have another storm that's approaching the pacific northwest. it will continue to the coastline. so for tomorrow morning, the fog will be extensive through the 6:00 hour but by 8:00 it is starting to lift and by 1:00 at the coastline so we'll see more sunshine out there tomorrow and that means warmer conditions. and in the south bay 70s and 80s. and 79 in san jose and 84 in latos and 86 in concord and 89 in antioch

and 87 in livermore and 66 in san francisco and mainly the lows 80s for the north bay so look at your extended forecast, warmer for your friday but the warming trend will be short lived for saturday and sunday. that cool down will continue into your monday but the fog kind of returns to normal by midweek and so will our afternoon high temperatures. former giants wilson, to a nice start of the first place dodgers and meanwhile the current giants continuing of going in the other direction. jason has the highlights coming up next.
